When you enrol with one of our Primary Care Practices on the West Coast, you are automatically enrolled with the West Coast Primary Health Organisation as well. This means that we will subsidise your visits to that general practice, saving you money. It also means that you will have a Primary Care Practice who knows your medical history, ensuring you and your whanau receive the best health care for your circumstances.
This will also allow you to access other health services such as some of the following services offered through the West Coast Primary Health Organisation; Dietitians, Physical Activity Support Services (PASS), Brief Intervention Counselling and more.
Is it free to enrol, and how do I know if I am eligible?
Yes, it is free to enrol. Most people living on the West Coast will be eligible, however, there are certain requirements such as being a New Zealand resident or being on a work visa.
If you are unsure if you’re Eligible, ask your Primary Care Practice or visit the ministry of health website for guidance.
