0.8 FTE – Greymouth
0.8 FTE – Buller (Westport/Reefton)
Salary: $52,698 – $56,909 per annum for 0.8 FTE (equivalent to $65,873 – $71,136 full-time).
West Coast Health (WCH) is a Primary Health Organisation and non-government organisation dedicated to improving the wellbeing of the people of the beautiful West Coast. As a community trust, we are governed by a Board of Trustees representing the health workforce, Māori health providers, iwi, and the local community.

Our Health Coaches are embedded within General Practice teams and work in partnership with people experiencing a diverse range of issues affecting their health and wellbeing. Health Coaches support individuals and their whānau to achieve their self-identified goals, understand advice provided by the general practice team, explore how they feel about that advice, and identify practical ways to use it to improve their wellbeing.
What we are looking for:

Empathetic and open-minded people who can connect with a wide range of individuals and whānau from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Experience in health coaching, navigation, peer support, advocacy, or a similar role.

A relevant health or wellbeing qualification is desirable but not essential.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule within general practice settings.

Knowledge of, familiarity with, or a genuine commitment to building skills and understanding in Te Ao Māori.

Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.

Full, clean New Zealand driver licence.
