Programme Coordinator – National Bowel Screening (West Coast)

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about community health to help lead the National Bowel Screening Programme on the West Coast.

In this role, you’ll work with iwi, health providers, and local communities to help more people take part in bowel screening, especially Māori, Pasifika, and rural whānau.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Making sure people from priority communities can access screening easily
  • Working with local partners to promote the programme and support outreach
  • Planning, tracking, and reporting on how the programme is going
  • Helping different parts of the health system work better together
  • Coming up with new ways to get more people involved and remove any barriers

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience running programmes, working with communities, and improving access to health services
  • A good understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how it applies to healthcare
  • Great people skills — you’ll be working with a range of partners and communities
  • Someone who’s organised, can think ahead, and pays attention to detail
  • Knowledge of public health and how to engage with communities effectively
  • Level 4 qualification or higher
